Information and Communication Technology is now part of our students' ever changing world and is seen as an important and necessary life skill and experience. The British International School-Cairo, has responded to these demands by constantly reviewing and
upgrading its ICT facilities. acquisition of hardware enabling the school to create two suites of networked PC workstations in dedicated ICT teaching rooms plus further wireless portable computers that are used across each curriculum area.
Additional hardware provides many other dedicated servers throughout the whole school. This allows work to be developed and completed using industry standard software and that enables an information research
capability throughout all areas of the curriculum.
A wide variety of software is available covering the areas of word processing, graphics, data handling and desktop publishing as well as
other specialist applications. outside the normal lesson times, which are in considerable demand at break
times, before and after school.
BISC (ICT) believes that developing real world ICT skills is a critical part of the education that our students experience. We are committed to investing in a state of the art network and providing ICT facilities that are enjoyable, useful and reliable. |
